The project includes interior remodeling to the original 1957 facility and a new Adoption Center addition intended to showcase the organization’s increased public adoption goals. The building includes a reconfigured veterinary clinic and animal surrender facility, replacement of the facility’s exterior dog runs with 21 new interior holding runs, a public Adoption and Education Center and administrative offices. The Adoption Center features a central atrium style public area, which in addition to the display of adoption animals, includes educational displays, a classroom, get-acquainted rooms and a small retail store. The project was made possible by the first “Maddie’s” grant by Dave Duffield.
