Kohavi House
The Kohavi House is situated on a wooded knoll overlooking San Francisco Bay. The design takes as its starting point early California Modernism, with its emphasis on the flow of space from indoors to outdoors, structural expression and connection to the land.
The L-shaped plan is organized around a two-story circulation spine which is articulated by a rhythm of concrete frames. The living room has been designed as a glass pavilion, with soaring cantilevered roof to visually extend the interior space to the garden.
